We believe the "learner knows best," and it is our privileged responsibility to adapt educational materials to our learners' needs. We do so by precisely measuring behavior, judging the outcomes of the performance intervention on a standard chart, and make changes if the data tell us an adaptation is in order.
In other words, all learners deserve to learn how they each learn best.

After the next several months we met many times discussing how we might be able to make education just a little bit better for everyone involved in the process. Starting with the learner herself up to the school superintendents and everyone in between and related - teachers, parents, therapists, insurance companies, and so on. The tools and methods seemed to be there but access to them was severely lacking. Paper? Excel? Dropbox? There had to be a better way - I knew there was a better way.
And so we started Chartlytics = Charting + Analytics. Our mission is to help everyone on the educational team make informed decisions about how best to adapt to the needs of the individual learner. In this era of "big tests" we sometimes forget who we're doing this all for - the next generation, our replacements on this tiny mote of dust. We are not a just numbers in a database and our performance levels in skills and behaviors can't be trivially represented by a simple percentage on an arbitrary test. We are all different. We all learn in our own ways. Everyone of our brains is unique.
So why do we try and shove everyone in the same box when it comes to education? It's simultaneously a simple and complex answer. I'll stick with the simple answer: It's freaking hard! There are so many things to do and so little time to do them. So many demands on our time, that whittle away at our $100 of daily attention span. Our classrooms are over crowded. Our funds are constantly being cut. And so on. There are entire communities on the Interwebs dedicated to this exact subject, so I won't digress.
With Chartlytics and what we have to offer you today and the "awesome" we hope to provide you with in the near future - maybe, just maybe, we can make it a little easier for you to help your learners achieve their potential for greatness. To help them learn they way they each learn best.
So it is with great humility and great hope, that we release Chartlytics to you, today. We are honored to work amongst and with you on the quest to improve educational and behavioral outcomes and to change lives through a great education or becoming highly proficient at being human.
We have much left to do. Plenty of bugs to fix and features to add. Some minor and some probably serious. However we think that what we have today is pretty good, and from the feedback we've gotten from some of our early testers, we think we're ready to share with everyone. Words like "beautiful", "holy &##@!", "Finally. Thank you!" are like fuel for our engines. Though on the flip side, we've gotten plenty of "this didn't work", "how do you do this?", and "I can't log in". ;)

From there you'll see a short video tutorial on how to get going, and then you're off on your way to the charting promise land. Since we don't have our subscription and credit system in place yet, we're giving everyone 30 free days (and possibly more until we actually build a way to accept your money - priorities ya know?) to use the system. Send us an email at email@example.com to let us know how many performers you want to chart for and we'll update your account accordingly. We intend to provide a free version of the software limited to one performer and 5 pinpoints which is what you get by default.
